OSRC Board of Director’s Meeting

Correction to November minutes: strike “only” from the first sentence of Legislative Affairs report.
Elections
Treasurer’s report
313 ballots sent, 96 returned President-elect Patrick Pangburn Vice President Larry Popplewell Secretary Marilyn Barclay Treasurer Daniel Coons Northern west director Patricia Stanley Central Region Director Ron DeYoung Eastern Region Director Johnny Mayberry Larry P’s garage was broken into. The Excel spread sheet and expense reports were part of what was taken. Some of the records were recovered. Larry P. notified Steven M and Norman K. immediately. Norm K. and Larry P. will reconstruct reports from the receipts.
215 people are pre-registered for the convention. Approximately $23,000 has been taken in for registration fees.
Director’s insurance is $2250 per annum. Larry P. asked for a quote on this from a different insurance sales person but has not heard back from him. It was decided discussion needs to take place regarding the need for this insurance.
Liability insurance is $530 per annum.
Larry P would like all budget requests to be ready for the March meeting.
Conference Report
Are board members supposed to have complimentary conference fees? This will be discussed at the March meeting.
The Sputum Bowl trophy is ready.
The Chili Cook-off has 7 entries. The CEO of the American Lung Association and the manager of asthma camp will make an appearance at the Chili cook-off.
Friday’s breakfast has 35 paid participants.
A motion was made and seconded “to give the winners of the Sputum Bowl OSRC T-shirts”. This passed.
There are 46 vendors signed up and approximately $17,000 has been taken in for booth fees.
A motion was made and seconded “to write off Seimens past booth fees as a bad debt”. It passed.
The audit committee will meet after the treasurer’s records are reconstructed.
The Delegate was unable to attend the House of Delegates due to bad weather.
PACT Report
Need to make the membership aware of efforts to educate politicians as to RCP’s role.
Central Region Report
Lane Community College’s RCP program may be threatened by budget cuts.
The AARC member list for Oregon is now current and ready to print for labels.
Focus gave the OSRC a check for $50 as payment for placing their ad on the OSRC web site.
Public Awareness
OSRC T-shirts are on sale for $8.50.
Licensing Committee
The OHLO meeting will be at 1000 on Friday in the exhibit hall. There will be a panel discussion after lunch. People are invited to see what the meeting is like in case they’d like to serve on the BOD.
